Mike Santana may still be signed with TNA, but that hasnt stopped WWE NXT officials from taking noticeand fast.
Following his strong May 27 debut on NXT against Tavion Heights, it was said that Santana received high marks from people within WWE. But now, the internal chatter has only grown louder after his showdown with Trick Williams.
According to an update from PWInsider, theres been a lot of talk over the last week internally within WWE NXT about the companys interest in Santana following his back-to-back performances on NXT television.
Santana may still be locked in with TNA through the end of 2025, but WWE sources are said to be increasingly impressed with what he brings to the tableand hes quickly become a topic of conversation backstage.
Santana recently spoke on Busted Open Radio about his run so far and how WWE has embraced his real persona without forcing him to change.
If WWE wants Mike Santana, theyre not exactly being subtle about it anymore. With NXT officials openly talking about him backstage and his TNA contract running through the end of the year, its only a matter of time before someone makes a move. Santanas stock is rising fastand the guy hasnt even unpacked yet.
