Seth Rollins didnt just win Money in the Bankhe made history and took down CM Punks legacy in the process.

At WWEs 2025 Money in the Bank Premium Live Event in Inglewood, California, Rollins unhooked the briefcase to become Mr. Money in the Bank for the second time in his career. That alone would be a big dealbut it also marked the end of CM Punks long-standing claim as the only two-time winner in the matchs history.

Rollins is now just the second Superstar to win two Money in the Bank ladder matches, joining Punk, who won in 2008 and 2009. But Rollins added a new wrinkle to the record books by doing it 11 years after his first win in 2014a new record for the longest time between victories.

Thats a stat no one else can touch. Not even The Miz, who had a 10-year gap between his 2010 win and his second run with the briefcase, which came after defeating Otis for the contract in 2020.

Rollins victory came after chaos in the ring involving Solo Sikoa, LA Knight, Andrade, Penta, El Grande Americano, and surprise interference from Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. The moment that shifted the match? Jacob Fatu turning on Solo Sikoa and taking him out with a moonsault through a ladderclearing the way for Rollins to seize the opportunity.

The win didnt just put Rollins back in the title huntit cemented his place in WWE history. CM Punks hold on Money in the Bank history is officially over.
