Cathy Kelley isnt just sticking to the backstage mic anymore. The longtime WWE interviewer has reportedly been training at the WWE Performance Center, signaling a potential shift in her on-screen role. According to PWInsider Elite, Kelley has been attending both in-ring training sessions and promo classesfueling talk that she may step into a manager-esque position or possibly even wrestle.
Now, Kelley is adding fuel to the speculation herself. While speaking to The Sporting Tribune ahead of Money in the Bank, she was asked directly about whether fans could expect to see her wrestle. The WWE personality kept things vague, but her wording raised plenty of eyebrows.
That cryptic answer doesnt confirm anything, but it certainly doesnt shut the door either. This comes at a time when Kelley is expanding her presence in and out of WWE. Shes already served as co-host of the 2025 WWE Slammy Awards alongside Big E and recently landed her first movie role. The film, titled Karate Ghost, is an action comedy that could give Kelley even more momentum in the entertainment world.
Kelleys return to WWE in 2022 marked her second run with the company, and shes since been a mainstay on RAW and various digital exclusives. But if recent developments are any indication, her days of standing outside the ring could be numbered.
Whether its in a manager role or an actual match, Cathy Kelley stepping into a new WWE spotlight looks more possible than ever.
