TNA Wrestling just became IInspirational againofficially. After shocking the crowd with a surprise return during the Against All Odds kickoff show, Cassie Lee and Jess McKayformerly known as The IIconics in WWEare back in TNA as The IInspiration. But this wasnt a one-off appearance. Theyve signed on the dotted line.
According to a report from Fightful Select, TNA had internally been teasing the return of two former champions in the lead-up to Against All Odds. That mystery was solved when Lee and McKay stepped back into a TNA ring just moments after Ash by Elegance and Heather by Elegance retained the Knockouts World Tag Team Titles.
Sources confirmed to Fightful that the deals for The IInspiration were finalized within the last couple of weeks.
People familiar with the situation say that recent regime changes in TNA played a big role in Lee and McKays decision to come back. TNA has reportedly been working to bolster its Knockouts tag team division, and this return lines up with that strategy.
The IInspiration previously held the Knockouts Tag Team Titles during their first run in the company, and with this new deal in place, theyre clearly being positioned for another strong run.
