Mariah May didnt just show upshe took over.
On the June 3 episode of WWE NXT, the former AEW star made her debut in grand fashion, bringing a chaotic womens division segment to a dead stop when she appeared on the balcony in a sparkling white outfit. The crowd exploded as May declared, The best womens division in the world just got a lot more glamorous. That lineand her dramatic entrancewerent just for show. The numbers prove it.
According to WWEs official YouTube channel, Mariah Mays debut segment racked up 452K views in under 24 hours, making it the most-watched clip from the entire episode. To put that in perspective:
- The Trick Williams vs. Mike Santana full match drew 136K views
- Jacy Jaynes NXT Womens Title segment pulled 135K
- Dragon Lees eight-man tag win grabbed 62K
- Tyra Mae Steeles debut landed 63K
- Myles Bornes match hit 63K
That means Mariah May outperformed the second-place clip (Trick vs. Santana) by a difference of 316K views, or a staggering 232%.
And its not hard to see why. Her entrance brought the segment to a standstill as the entire NXT womens division stopped mid-brawl to look up. May took center stage and issued a direct statement of intent: Im the next NXT Womens Champion.
That bold declaration put Jacy Jayne, fresh off her title win from Stephanie Vaquer, squarely in Mays sights.
For those following her journey, this debut didnt come out of nowhere. AEW always suspected May had WWE dreams. From the UK indie scene to Stardom in Japan to AEW, May has built a rsum of style and substance. But in NXT, shes clearly not here to play a roleshes here to take the crown.
Mariah Mays debut just sent a message: shes not a supporting act anymore.
