AJ Styles may have come up short in the June 2 RAW main event, but fans worried about his WWE status can relaxat least for now.
After Styles took the pin in the triple threat Money in the Bank qualifier against CM Punk and El Grande Americano, speculation started swirling online that the former WWE Champion could be wrapping up his run. However, PWInsider shut that down quickly with a clear update.
That doesnt mean all questions are off the table, though. Back in January 2025, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select addressed Styles contract situation during a Q&A. According to Sapp, Styles deal may have been nearing its expiration earlier this yearbut his time off due to injury could complicate things.
The RAW loss added fuel to those rumors, especially since Styles has had limited title involvement lately. But the fact hes still being booked in high-profile matchesand appearing regularlysuggests WWE still sees value in keeping him on the show.
Styles delivered a strong performance in Tulsa, going head-to-head with CM Punk and El Grande Americano (Chad Gable under the mask) in a wild, fast-paced main event that had fans chanting This is awesome and CM Punk throughout. He even launched himself onto a crowd of wrestlers in a dive that sparked Holy sht* chants, proving he hasnt lost a step.
Still, Styles future in WWE remains one of the more intriguing storylines behind the scenes, especially with contract speculation floating around and several major stars jockeying for position heading into Money in the Bank.
