WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair received a ton of backlash after his bizarre tweets about Jim Ross and defending those tweets. While hes still getting criticized for what he said, the Nature Boy has now decided to put an end to all the negativity and revealed his stance on Jim Ross.
Ric Flair took to Twitter and addressed the backlash he received over his recent comments about Jim Ross. He clarified that in an upcoming Sports Illustrated article by Justin Barrasso, he made it clear that Jim Ross is on his personal Mount Rushmore of wrestling broadcasters, alongside Gordon Solie, Gene Okerlund, and Jerry Lawler. Flair added that it was tough to leave out Tony Schiavone, but he believes Ross and Lawler were the best commentary team ever.
Flair also said that people shouldnt get upset just because two people have a difference of opinion, its a normal part of life. Flair reminded fans that both he and Ross have been through a lot, mentioning the loss of his son and Rosss late wife. He said they have a lot in common and both were considered the best in their fields. He ended by asking everyone to move on and let haters focus on something else.
This comes after Jim Ross talked about an incident involving Ric Flair at a small birthday dinner for wrestling executive Gary Justers wife, where Flair allegedly exposed himself in front of the group.
Ric Flair accused Jim Ross of being an attention seeker for this story and after getting backlash, Flair deleted those comments but would then defend them as harmless fun, which rubbed fans the wrong way.
Ric Flairs message to Jim Ross shows hes trying to make things right and give respect where its due. Its not clear if this will fully end the drama since Ross hasnt said anything yet, but fans can feel good knowing that Flair still sees Jim Ross as a legend in wrestling and thats never changing.
