Tay Melo was once a big part of AEWs womens division, but she hasnt been seen on AEW television since 2023. While her absence continues, Melos current status with the company has been revealed.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider was asked about Tay Melos AEW status. Mike Johnson noted that shes still under contract with AEW and could return whenever the company wants.
Johnson added that she last wrestled at the Tokyo Dome in January and looked good. Based on her social media, shes in great shape and has a new hair color. He believes shell be back when AEWs creative team decides its time.
During STARDOMs New Year Dream event at the Tokyo Garden Theater on January 3rd, Tay Melo teamed up with Mina Shirakawa as they faced off againstAthena and Thekla in a tag team match.Melo would ultimately lose the matchbut she definitely made it clear she could wrestle at a top level.
Tay Melo hasnt wrestled on AEW TV since the January 11, 2023 episode of Rampage, where she teamed with Anna Jay against Ruby Soho and Willow Nightingale. For now, fans will just have to wait and see when she returns, as many definitely miss her.
