WWEs concern over live crowd noise just got realespecially for fans attending NXT tapings at the Performance Center. While Dave Meltzer recently revealed WWE has talked about asking fans to tone down their language at televised events, a new report says its already being enforced in NXT.
According to Fightful Select, the issue isnt just hypothetical anymore. Fans at WWE NXT shows have been directly asked not to swear, and those who ignore the warning have been threatened with removal from the tapings.
This takes Meltzers previous comments a step further. On Wrestling Observer Radio, he explained the reasoning behind WWEs push to keep things clean for their global broadcasts.
It looks like WWE is getting serious about managing the energy of their crowdsespecially when cameras are rolling. With the NXT brand moving to The CW Network soon, its no surprise the company is trying to maintain a tighter grip on the presentation.
Do you think WWE has the right to police what fans say at shows? Or is this taking crowd control too far? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
