Kairi Sane is officially backstage at tonights episode of WWE Raw, marking her first live appearance since suffering a thumb ligament tear in December 2024. WWE confirmed Sanes presence, fueling speculation that the former Womens Tag Team Champion could be gearing up for an in-ring return.
Back in April, Sane revealed the extent of her injury in a Twitter post, writing, Three months ago, I tore a ligament in my thumb and couldnt even open a bottle cap. Now, Ive fully regained my grip strength and Im even stronger than before.
Sane also expressed her gratitude to Dr. Hirsch, who performed the surgery. Im truly grateful from the bottom of my heart to Dr. Hirsch, who performed my surgery. He was such a kind and wonderful doctor, she said.
Tonights Raw lineup includes AJ Styles and Penta taking on Judgment Days Finn Balor and JD McDonagh, Sheamus facing Grayson Waller, and Jey Uso going one-on-one with Bron Breakker. Money In The Bank qualifying matches are also set to take place, with Logan Paul scheduled to appear.
With Sane now cleared to be backstage, speculation is running wild about how WWE might reintroduce her to the womens division. Could she insert herself into the Money In The Bank scene or target a former rival upon her return?
