Kofi Kingston isnt holding back when it comes to fans who invade his personal space and try to go viral at his expense.
During an interview with Adrian Hernandez on Unlikely, the WWE Tag Team Champion addressed a recent encounter on an airplane and slammed fans who feel entitled to his time just because they bought a ticket.
Thats a big dont. Like, dont talk to me. You know what Im saying? Dont think that because you bought a ticket that you have the right to shake my hand, Kofi said. Dont come up to me and say, Well, I bought a ticket to the show, so I should be able to get a picture. and you are obligated to come over to me. That is not true. I dont have to do that.
Kofi also called out fans who try to humiliate wrestlers with negative photos or mocking gestures, saying it only fuels more toxic behavior. If Im sitting in first class when you are on your way to last class, dont sit there with your camera and do a thumbs down so you can get a little viral shot, Kofi stated. And go tweet that stuff out. And then dont like people. Dont like the pictures and posts when people post disrespectful pics like that. Dont like them because you perpetuate that. You perpetuate the negativity.
Kingstons message was clear just because hes a public figure doesnt mean he owes fans his time, attention, or a photo opportunity, especially when hes off the clock.
