The War Raiders are setting the record straight about the challenges they faced after being rebranded as the Viking Experience and later the Viking Raiders in WWE.
While speaking toGorilla Position, Erik and Ivar admitted the transition was not what they envisioned, but they did their best to roll with it.
Yeah, it was it was frustrating when we got called up and our names got changed to the Viking Experience, Erik said, reflecting on the situation. But at the same time, at that point, it was the biggest moment of our lives. So it was just trying to figure out how we can perform and make the best of what we were given.
Ivar echoed that sentiment, noting that while the name change threw them off, they tried to make the best of it. I think every step of the way, frustrating or not, because a lot of the stuff we did was a lot of fun. People thought it was frustrating for us during the pandemic when we did all the comedy stuff with the Street Profits, but that was a blast. It was leaning into that and just doing the best that we possibly could, he said.
Despite the creative shifts, Erik emphasized the importance of adapting, even if it wasnt their initial vision. In any job, you get frustrated and stuff. For the most part, we just took what we were given and made the best of what it was, he added.
The War Raiders commitment to their craft and ability to pivot when necessary has kept them thriving in WWEs tag team division, despite the obstacles and constant changes thrown their way.
