Darby Allin achieved his lifelong dream recently as he reached the summit of Mount Everest. The former TNT Champion took on the grueling climb that lasted over a month and has now planted an AEW flag at the peak, fulfilling a promise he made ages ago.
The former TNT Champion took to his Instagram and showed off an AEW flag that he planted at the summit of Mount Everest. He expressed his gratitude to AEW for everything in his life and thanked the team at Adventure Consultants along with the Sherpa squad, calling the experience wild.
Darby Allin was accompanied by an experienced team on his Mount Everest climb, including Ang Dorjee Sherpa, Pasang Bhote, Tashi Thundu Sherpa, and Pemba Sherpa, all of whom have reached the summit multiple times. Allin had previously promised he was going to plant an AEW flag at the summit of Everest, so fans are happy he finally did it.
Before starting his Everest trek, the original plan was for Darby Allin to return to AEW in time for Double or Nothing on May 25 in Glendale, Arizona. However, since the climb took longer than expected, many fans doubt hell be able to make it back in time for the pay-per-view.
With AEW All In: Texas set to take place on July 12th, all signs point toward Darby Allin returning before that pay-per-view and facing off against Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship. After all, fans feel Allin more than deserves to win the title, especially after he conquered Mount Everest.
