Sabu made it clear that he wasnt done wrestling, even days before his passing.

During an appearance on the Legion of Skanks Podcast, uploaded to their YouTube channel just a day before he died, the hardcore icon clarified that his No Rope Barbed Wire match against Joey Janela at GCW Joey Janelas Spring Break 9 wasnt his planned farewell.

The host brought up the subject, saying, So Sabu, they have some highlights. Um, you had your it was your final match that you did a couple weeks ago. Sabu immediately corrected him, stating, It was my last match, not my final match.

When asked if there would be another match, Sabu didnt hesitate. Probably, he said, leaving the door open despite his obvious physical struggles.

Sabus comments align with what Francine revealed during her podcast tribute. She recalled Sabu telling her, They said Im retiring. I never said Im retiring. Im not retiring.

Francine pressed Sabu about the rumors, jokingly asking, Oh, are you going to pull a Terry Funk on us? Sabus response was blunt: I dont know if theyre trying to do ticket sales or what, but Im not retiring. Im going to keep wrestling.

Francine described Sabu as looking exhausted and unwell after the brutal bout with Janela but still insisting he was ready for more. He looked tired. He just but he was there, and he was taking pictures and signing autographs. I just said, Are you okay? and he goes, Im okay. Im okay. But he didnt look okay to me, she added.

Sabus final days reveal a man who refused to quit, even when his body was telling him otherwise. The wrestling world may have said goodbye to the hardcore legend, but his words make it clear in his mind, he wasnt done yet.
