WWE Hall of Famer and current U.S. President Donald Trump is focused on his political responsibilities, but he occasionally shows interest in professional wrestling. In fact, it appears Trump has been invited to appear at a show featuring TNA talent and more.
According to Businesswire, U.S. President Donald Trump has been invited to attend an upcoming TNA Wrestling event, though he would need to travel to Canada to be there as well.
Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney have been officially invited to attend The Border Brawl, a special wrestling event co-produced by Zoneify and TNA Wrestling. The event will stream live and for free on Zoneify.tv across the U.S. and Canada on May 25 at 5:00 PM ET.
Set at the Niagara Falls Convention Centre on the Canadian side, The Border Brawl mixes wrestling action with an amusing nod to real-world politics, especially the ongoing U.S.-Canada trade tensions. Doug Edwards, President of Zone.tv, joked that having the two leaders settle things at a wrestling show might be the most fun way to move forward.
The event will feature wrestling legends like Brutus The Barber Beefcake, Jacques Rougeau, Kelly Kelly, Rampage Jackson, and stars from TNA Wrestling, with more names to be revealed soon. A fan meet-and-greet will follow the show as well.
The Border Brawl is definitely shaping up to be a must-watch event for both wrestling fans and those who enjoy a bit of political humor. Therefore, well have to wait and see if Donald Trump shows up at the event since fans would definitely love that.
