Jamie Hayter and Mercedes Mon are more ready than ever to collide on May 25 at Double or Nothing. The prize? To win the Owen Hart Cup and go on to face the AEW Womens World Champion at All In. The current champion is Toni Storm, but she meeds Mina Shirakawa at Double or Nothing.
Hayter returned to action not to long ago and has been making her way through the ranks trying to get back into the title picture. One woman stands in her way at a title shot, and that is the undefeated TBS Champion herself, The CEO, Mercedes Mon.
While speaking with Undisputed, Hayter has made some bold statements about her opponent.
The stakes are even higher for me because Id been gone for so long, said Hayter. And look what I can doI can be the one to give Mercedes her first loss in AEW. If I do that, I wrestle Toni Storm for the title at All In. Wrestling Mercedes is a very big opportunity. She is fantastic in the ringyou cant say otherwise. And I love to wrestle. Every time I go in the ring, Im there to prove myself. And thats what Im going to do against Mercedes. When Im done with Mercedes Mon, shes going to remember me. For Mercedes, its just another belt shes chasing. For me, its everything.
