Oba Femi has been a force of nature in NXT for a long time now, starting as the North American Champion and now holding the NXT Championship. However, he still has plenty he wants to accomplish. In fact, Femi has made it clear hes not in any rush to get a main roster call-up since he wants to focus on NXT.

While speaking to Jimmy V3, Oba Femi was asked if being NXT Champion means hes ready for a move to the main roster. He said that while it helps, holding the title doesnt necessarily mean someone is ready.

Femi pointed out that many former NXT champions were ready for the next step, but having the belt alone doesnt prove that. It also doesnt automatically make someone a star or a top name on Raw or SmackDown.

Instead of focusing on getting a future main roster call-up, Femi is staying focused on the present. His priority is to help build NXT, deliver great matches, set the standard and help elevate the brand from just a developmental system into a true third brand. Thats where his mindset is right now.
