Ricochet isnt shying away from his recent Twitter clash with JeVon Evans, and hes also making it clear that his move to AEW has reignited his love for wrestling. The two stars got into a heated exchange on May 8th after Ricochet declared that he would squash Evans in a match.
Ricochet has been vocal on social media about his confidence, often saying he would squash numerous opponents regardless of whether they work for AEW or another company. However, Evans didnt take the comment lightly, firing back with a tweet that has since been deleted.

After wiping his Twitter clean of the post, Evans has remained silent, but Ricochet addressed the situation while speaking on Battleground.
A lot of people seemed upset about it. A lot of people were upset, Ricochet said, reflecting on the backlash from his statement. When asked why he thinks people reacted so strongly, Ricochet kept it simple. I think, what Im doing is just living my life. Everybody is out to get me, but Im finally just living my own life and everyone is getting a chance to see it.
Ricochet also talked about how AEW has given him the creative freedom hes been craving. Just being able to creatively let me flow and be myself. Being able to show the world myself, my character. AEW has allowed that. Theyve allowed me to go out there and try things. Whether it works or doesnt work, they let me go out there and open up creatively, which is honestly the reason we got into it. The creativeness. Its an artform that we live for. Ive lived my whole life, basically, doing this. Being able to be myself is awesome. Its been great to agitate.
WWE Hall of Famer Booker T weighed in on the Ricochet and Evans exchange during a recent episode of his Hall of Fame podcast, criticizing Ricochet for how he handled the situation.
Ricochet, you know, clapped back as far as him being, you know, the best young, you know, high flyer in the business. But Ricochet 40 years old, you know what I mean? Thats I think Ricochet missed the point as far as, uh, you know, what the question was more than anything, Booker said.
Booker T emphasized that instead of tearing down younger talent, veterans like Ricochet should be using their platform to uplift them. I just think, man, thats where we are in the business to where we got to try to bring somebody down opposed to trying to lift somebody up, Booker added. Because for me, if I see that young dude, Javon Evans, and what hes doing, I dont care. I dont care who I am. Im going to give him props because hes freaking so good.
Booker T even drew a comparison to his own early days, remembering how he once felt outclassed by Too Cold Scorpio but chose to praise him rather than criticize. Still to this day, I pump that dude up, man. Because to this day, I say, man, I wish I had the talent that Too Cold Scorpio had and still does to this day, Booker said.
Ricochet is set to face Zach Gowen at AEW Dynamite Beach Break, and with his renewed passion for wrestling, hes looking to make a statement. Whether his clash with Evans will continue remains to be seen, but one thing is clear Ricochet isnt holding back in or out of the ring.
