A Connecticut state court Judge Colleen Zingaro has denied Dr. Carlon Colkers motion to dismiss a petition filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant, paving the way for Grant to dig deeper into potential evidence involving Colker and his clinic, Peak Wellness.
Grant is now permitted to pursue discovery, seeking communications, records, and potential testimony from Colker and his clinic. The move comes as she considers bringing civil claims against Colker, who she says treated her at Vince McMahons direction. Grant alleges that Colker and Peak Wellness prescribed her unidentified supplements and infusions during her more than sixty visits from 2019 to 2022.
Colkers legal team argued that they already provided Grants attorneys with electronic copies of her medical and billing records, even presenting emails as proof. However, the court sided with Grant, allowing her to continue her search for further evidence.
Brandon Thurston of POST Wrestling clarified that this discovery action is separate from Grants federal lawsuit against WWE, Vince McMahon, and John Laurinaitis. That lawsuit, filed in January 2024, accuses McMahon of sexual assault and sex trafficking. McMahon resigned from WWE and TKO shortly after the lawsuit was filed.
Meanwhile, Colker has also filed a federal defamation lawsuit against Grants attorney, Ann Callis, adding another layer of legal drama to the ongoing saga.
