Drew McIntyre had fans worried after a brutal spot at WWE Backlash that saw him land awkwardly during a South of Heaven chokeslam from Damian Priest. The move, delivered off the production area and through two tables, led to McIntyre clutching the back of his head as WWE medical staff rushed to check on him.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that McIntyre was being evaluated backstage following the match, with WWE taking precautions to monitor his condition closely.

During the post-show press conference, Triple H addressed the situation, assuring fans that McIntyre is a little banged up but totally fine. He added, Luckily, everybody is healthy. I think Priest got a tooth that hes hoping will stay inside of his head for a couple days here and get solid again.

The four-way bout for the WWE United States Championship also featured LA Knight and reigning champion Jacob Fatu, but the spotlight shifted to McIntyre after the intense landing.
