Jeff Cobb is playing games with WWE fans ahead of tonights Backlash event in St. Louis. While earlier reports indicated that Cobb was internally listed as part of the SmackDown roster and could be present at the premium live event, Cobb is claiming to be far from Missouri.
Just hours before the show, Cobb posted a video of himself working out in Los Angeles, accompanied by a cryptic message: Just finished a sweet workout and I cant believe after so many years of going to LA, this was my first time going here! If you are in the area I suggest checking it out! Gym, free tanning and when youre done, a beach to jump into!
When a fan referenced Backlash and suggested he should be in St. Louis, Cobb doubled down, replying, I always left Missouri for summer break around mid-May, someday Ill experience Missouri in late May lol.
Cobb has been having fun with the rumors of his WWE signing for weeks now, even jokingly announcing his retirement as speculation swirled. With the former NJPW star reportedly set to make his WWE debut soon, fans are left wondering if Cobb is genuinely in LA or pulling a classic wrestling swerve ahead of Backlash.
