John Cena is back as Christopher Smith, aka Peacemaker, in the newly released teaser trailer for Peacemaker Season 2.
Max dropped the explosive trailer as part of the promotional push for the shows August 21, 2025, premiere, giving fans a first look at whats next for the gun-wielding antihero.
The trailer teases a darker, more intense mission for Peacemaker as he continues his quest to achieve peace, no matter how many men, women, and children he has to take down. Cena leads the returning cast, including Steve Agee (John Economos), Jennifer Holland (Emilia Harcourt), Freddie Stroma (Vigilante), Danielle Brooks (Leota Adebayo), and Robert Patrick (Auggie Smith).
James Gunn, who created the show and directed several episodes, is back to helm Season 2, promising more of the dark comedy and chaotic action that made the first season a streaming hit. Season 1s finale set viewership records for Max, and now all eyes are on Cena to see if he can bring the same fire in the upcoming season.
