AEWs new Dynamite theme song didnt just come out of nowhere the deal was set weeks before its May 7 debut.

According to Fightful Select, AEW secured the rights to Sum 41s You Wanted War well in advance, making it the official opening track for their flagship show.

The song, from Sum 41s Heaven x Hell album, marks a major tonal shift for AEW, opting for a harder, edgier vibe as they continue to redefine the shows presentation. Earlier this year, AEW tested Im So Excited by The Pointer Sisters for the January 1st episode, but it quickly fizzled out as the intro theme. Now, You Wanted War is here to stay at least for now.

The reaction from fans has been mixed, with some embracing the aggressive sound while others are still adjusting to the change. AEW has been steadily evolving its visual and audio branding, and this latest move could be a sign that Tony Khan and company are aiming to present a more intense, rebellious product moving forward.
