Monty Brown, the former TNA star known as The Alpha Male and WWEs Marcus Cor Von, made a surprise appearance backstage at AEW Dynamite in Detroit, Michigan.
The sighting was confirmed by Jeff Jarretts My World podcast, which posted a photo of the two catching up at the Masonic Temple Theatre.
#TheLastOutlaw and The Alpha Male! @RealJeffJarrett catching up with @TheMontyBrown in Detroit! #MyWorld, read the caption, fueling speculation about Browns unexpected presence at the AEW event.
Now 54, Brown has mostly stayed out of the wrestling spotlight since retiring in 2007. Once a prominent main eventer in TNA Wrestling, Brown was known for his explosive charisma and devastating finisher, The Pounce. He later had a brief run in WWEs ECW brand as Marcus Cor Von before stepping away from the industry to focus on family.
The Detroit visit is particularly notable given that Brown is a native of the city and played college football at Ferris State University. With AEWs Director of Business Development Jeff Jarrett working closely with Brown during their TNA days, some fans are already speculating about a possible return to wrestling.
Despite his backstage presence, theres no indication that Browns visit was anything more than catching up with old friends. These days, Brown is focused on his work as a personal trainer, but the AEW locker room is no stranger to unexpected comebacks.
