andy Orton has officially put to rest any doubts about changing his iconic entrance theme song, Voices by Rev Theory. After months of speculation, Orton has revealed why he ultimately chose to stick with the song that has been the soundtrack to his career.
In a recent interview with Billboard, Orton opened up about his initial intentions to change his music, especially after his return from back surgery in late 2023.
While working on a new theme with WWE, Orton said they were planning on switching it up when he got into a big storyline or a potential heel turn. However, everything changed during a trip to Leon, France.
Ortons decision to keep Voices comes after months of speculation that WWE was considering a switch, with reports suggesting they initially planned to revert to his old music to re-establish his presence before introducing a new song. However, after some back-and-forth with WWE higher-ups and Ortons own hesitation about drastic changes, the decision was made to keep the song that fans have come to know and love.
The Viper confirmed that while he didnt always feel a deep connection to the song, the crowds reaction made him realize just how important it had become to his character.
