Grayson Waller isnt here to bow downand hes not shy about letting the world know it. While speaking with Robbie & Carly, the WWE star opened up about how he approaches dealing with legends in the business, and his perspective is anything but humble.
Its obviously super surreal. And as a wrestling fan growing up, like, if I go back to me at 15 and tell him some of the stories about the people Id be in the ring with, I think he wouldnt think it was real, Waller admitted. But sentiment quickly turned to strategy.
I always feel that the best way to show respect to these legends and say thank you for the platform that youve given us is to go as hard as you can at them, he explained. I dont think kissing ass and, you know, trying to be their best friend is the best way to say thank you for what they did.
And hes not just talking tough behind the scenesWaller has built his entire brand on confrontation. I think the best way to do that is to go in and try and take from them. Be like, I want to be on your level, and Im going to go out and Im going to say the wildest things I can.
He also understands what this kind of approach does for the fans. From a fan perspective too, they hold these people in such high esteem. So when they see someone like this stupid Australian Grayson Waller coming out and trying to fight Shawn Michaels, I think that gets a great reaction toobecause they know if they were in that situation, they would never say something like that to someone whos done so much. And I have no problem doing those things.
Grayson Waller continues to divide opinionpart self-aware troll, part fearless performer. Love him or hate him, the man doesnt plan on staying quiet, and hes dead set on punching his ticket to the Crown Jewel card in his hometown of Perth.
