Damian Priest is walking into WWE Backlash this Saturday with a few extra battle scarsand hes not hiding it. The Judgment Day powerhouse admitted hes still hurting from his brutal Sin City Street Fight against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 41.
Speaking to MLB Network, Priest opened up about the lingering pain. I still havent recovered from Mania physically, he said. So Im looking at this match and Im thinking to myself, Okay, so Im definitely gonna feel pain for a while.
Despite the injuries, Priest isnt backing down. It is what it is, like I said, these are some of the heaviest hitters in the company, big guys that are mega stars right now. Im looking forward to it because I love that physicality anyway.
This weekend, Priest steps into yet another wara four-way showdown for the United States Championship. Hell be battling Jacob Fatu, LA Knight, and Drew McIntyre, who isnt exactly known for taking it easy on anyone.
Priests toughness has never been in question, but even he knows the pain from WrestleMania isnt going away anytime soon.
