R-Truth is still trying to wrap his head around John Cenas shocking heel turn at Elimination Chamber 2025, and hes not ready to talk about it just yetat least, not fully.
Speaking with Insight with Chris Van Vliet, the WWE veteran was asked directly about Cenas betrayal of Cody Rhodes and his brutal team-up with The Rock and Travis Scott. Cena later dethroned Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 to become WWE Champion, and while R-Truth publicly congratulated him on SmackDown, hes clearly still processing the emotional fallout.
Why yall asking me that? Yall noticed I havent spoke on that at all, right? And I dont want to speak on it right now, R-Truth said. Im hurt to the beyond hurtstivitythat is a wordsaying its way up there in the heart somewhere, theres no need to talk about it.
Truth referenced Cenas iconic slogans like hustle, loyalty, respect and his work with Make-A-Wish, implying that it all feels like its been shattered. Little Jimmy, I have to deal with that. Im saying hes in turmoil because of that.
Van Vliet didnt hold back and brought up Cenas low blow on Cody Rhodes during the Elimination Chamber attack. But Truth wasnt ready to accept that version of the story. We dont know that for sure. It looked like it went there, but we dont know that. [It could have been] to part of the inner thigh.
He continued, Yall know how youre going through a situation, and youre thinking about it, you know you need to do something about it, but you leave it where its at, because right now its still stewing and simmering, and you still dont know how to react about it. Thats where Im at with the John Cena thing.
R-Truths loyalty to his childhood hero is clearly clashing with reality, and its left both himand Little Jimmycompletely rattled.
