WWE made a new round of releases last week, and one of the names let go was Riley Osborne. However, it turns out that WWE released him while he was still injured and had not been cleared to return to the ring.
Following his WWE release, Riley Osborne took to his Instagram story and uploaded a photo of himself, where he joked that he couldnt wait to get cleared to go back to work before pointing out he was released, saying, Cant wait to get medically cleared at work oh.
In another post, Riley Osborne said he had surgery on March 7 and hadnt wrestled since then. He uploaded some graphic photos of his injury as he revealed he suffered a foot injury and pointed out how pre-taping matches is a magical thing, as he said, March 7th I had surgery, have been out of action since pre recordings are a magical thing.
Osborne had not been on NXT TV since Chase U broke up in November and he later showed up on WWEs new show, Evolve. However, since Evolve is filmed ahead of time, Osborne was actually already injured and had surgery a couple of months ago and so WWE actually released him while he was still injured.
We had previously reported that Riley Osborne was ultimately released for reasons that had nothing to do with his in-ring talent but some behind-the-scenes issues instead. Regardless, some fans are simply shocked WWE actually released Osborne while he was still recovering from his injury but now it remains to be seen what the future holds for him once he gets medically cleared, as the future is still bright for him.
