Toni Storm has been one of the best womens wrestlers over the past couple years.
Storm started training at the age of 13, but by 18 she wanted to take it more serious and moved from her home of Australia to England. Before even making it to WWE, Storm worked on the British scene and then made her way to STARDOM in Japan. She won titles in both countries, one being the inaugural PROGRESS Womens Champion and in STARDOM she won the SWA Championship, the Cinderella Tournament, and the top title, World of Stardom.
Her WWE career started in 2017 and started off strong. She went to the semi finals of the first Mae Young Classic and would go on to win the second one. She also became the NXT UK Womens Champion. The rest of her WWE career was definitly hit or miss with poor booking from NXT and morseo her short time on the main roster.
At the very end of 2021, Storm asked for her WWE release, and for her and fans, it may have been the best thing to happen. She joined AEW shortly after and by 2023 she reinvented herswlf as Timeless Toni Storm, arguably the best character in wrestling today. She has set a record in AEW by being the only woman to hold the AEW Womens World Title four times. She is holding strong currently in her fourth reign. Storm has had one of the best womens feud in wrestling, with Mariah May in 2024.
It feels as though Storm has already lived a lifetime in her career. At the same time she has hit her stride since the Timeless character and it continues to entertain.
