Hulk Hogans legendary career speaks for itself, but his latest story is raising more eyebrows than applause.

During a new interview with TMZ Sports, Hogan claimed he was Brock Lesnars first opponent after Lesnar left the UFCa statement that simply doesnt line up with the facts.

Ive been in the ring with some really crazy wrestlers. Like, I got Brock Lesnar right after he left the UFC. I got in first, Hogan said.

Lesnar officially left UFC after his TKO loss to Alistair Overeem at UFC 141 on December 30, 2011. He made his WWE return a few months later on the April 2, 2012 episode of Monday Night Raw, where he attacked John Cena. His actual first match back was against Cena at Extreme Rules 2012not Hulk Hogan.

The only time Hogan and Lesnar ever squared off in a WWE ring was on the August 8, 2002 episode of SmackDown. That match ended with Lesnar defeating Hogan via technical submission, well before Lesnar ever stepped into the UFC Octagon.

Despite countless documented timelines and records, Hogan has made a habit over the years of telling stories that stretch the truth. Whether its claiming matches that never happened or embellishing past events, the WWE Hall of Famer has been called out by fans and media alike for his tall tales.

For now, Hogan is focusing on his latest project, Real American Freestyle Wrestling, which debuts on August 30 in Cleveland, Ohio. The new venture blends Olympic-style wrestling with reality TV storytelling, and Hogan claims it could become as big as WWE or UFC.
