Zelina Vega Reveals What Triple H Told Aleister Black After WWE Return

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Vega reflected on the surreal night, comparing it to a pivotal moment from her past.

It really felt like the fairytale ending to that, Vega said. The only other time I felt like something fit that perfectly is when Andrade and I were leaving NXT and we kind of ended the story with Aleister and end our story with Johnny (Gargano) and Candice (LeRae), tapping out to their finish, and it felt like, That chapter is closed and now we can go to a new one.

Vega got emotional while describing the significance of the night for both her and Black, who was released by WWE in 2021 and spent nearly four years wrestling in AEW before parting ways with the company in February 2025.

It felt like, after everything both him and I have been through, it felt like that chapter of the crazy is done and now we can start that new chapter. I think he was so ready for that. He was so ready to return home, she added.

One of the standout moments of the night for Vega was watching her husband step back into WWE and receive a warm welcome from the person running the show. My favorite part, obviously seeing him go out there and do what he does, but Hunter [Triple H] hugging him after and saying, Welcome home was really nice, she said.

The emotional response followed a huge night for the couple. Vega defeated Chelsea Green to become the new Womens United States Champion. Shortly after, Aleister Black returned to take out The Miz in a surprise appearance that brought the crowd to its feet. Later, Vega posted photos on Instagram with her title and Triple H, followed by a photo of her sharing a kiss backstage with Black. She captioned it simply, What is life right now
