Samoa Joe wants Jon Moxley locked inand hes not talking about a promo. On the April 30 episode of AEW Dynamite, Joe made it clear hes looking to raise the stakes for their AEW World Championship showdown at Beach Break on May 14.
After Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Katsuyori Shibataknown collectively as The Oppsmade quick work of three local competitors in six-man tag action, Joe took the mic and called out Moxley once again. This time, he demanded that their title match be contested inside a steel cage.
The match between Joe and Moxley is already official for Beach Break, but the added stipulation has yet to be confirmed by AEW. Commentary teased that an update could come later in the night or next week, but with the intensity between these two growing each week, locking them inside a cage seems inevitable.
This all comes after Joe choked out Moxley on Dynamite two weeks in a row, including the episode where The Opps won the AEW Trios Titles. Joes dominance over the champ has made him a serious threat to Moxleys title reignand if the cage match gets greenlit, therell be no room for backup or escape.
Samoa Joe looks more dangerous than ever, and if AEW gives him the cage match he wants, Jon Moxleys days as champion might be numbered.
Should AEW make Moxley vs. Joe inside a steel cage official? Or should they settle it another way? Sound off in the comments.
