According to Deadline, Morgan has joined the cast of Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo, a gritty new film directed by Takashi Miike, the legendary filmmaker behind Audition and 13 Assassins. Production is set to begin in May, with Shun Oguri and Lily James also starring.
Morgan plays the daughter of a politician who goes missing, launching an international investigation led by James characteran enigmatic FBI agent. Oguri stars as the corrupt Tokyo detective caught in the middle, all while a violent killer tied to the yakuza lurks in the shadows.
The script comes from Daisuke Tengan and is based on the original Bad Lieutenant IP created by Edward R. Pressman. If this project lives up to the hype, it could be Morgans breakout in the entertainment industryone that insiders say could cement her as Hollywoods next it girl.
Liv Morgan is still one-half of the WWE Womens Tag Team Champions with Raquel Rodriguez, but this move suggests big things are on the horizon outside the ring. Mondays RAW featured her official storyline exit, with Nick Aldis approving her time off so she could begin filming.
